S14 Party Search - Result

 

Purposes:

 

This screen provides the results from searching for a party, using screen ‘S13 Search for Party’.  The MIMS user can then select the MEP Party from the Result List.

 

Prerequisites:

 

1.       MIMS user must have applicable security authorization to access this screen.

            The following groups have access to this panel:

                  ·     ALL MEP Staff Users

·         Provisional Agents

·         HR & E

·         Legal Services Agents

·         Other Jurisdictions

 

2.       HR & E, Legal Services Agents and Other Jurisdictions may only search “Individual” party types.

3.       Provincial Agents can search for both “Individual and Organization” party types.

4.       Security authorizations for S21 – Create party, refer to Help on that screen.

·         A maximum number of files will be displayed as preset during development of the system.

 

Procedure:

 

Refine Criteria

1.   If no parties are found, change search criteria, by clicking the “Refine Criteria” button and changing the previous criteria on screen S13 – Party Search – Criteria.  TIP:  When searching by partial last name ensure “Starts With” is selected from the drop down box beside the field.

 

Maintain an Existing Party

1.       Click on the MEP File hyperlink to display the MEP file.  This will take the user to S21 Maintain MEP File panel.

 

Create a New Party

1.       Select party type from the drop down box.

2.       Click Create party, this takes the user to S18 Create Party Individual or S19 Create Party Organization.

 

 

Screen Label

Description/Instructions

 

Search Criteria

Displays the list of criteria used to search and present the result.

 

Result Count

Displays the number of “Results” found for the criteria used.  A maximum of 200 files can be displayed on the Result List.

 

Returns to Party Search Criteria screen with previous criteria still displayed.

 

Party #

Hyperlinked to display party.  Will take MEP user to panel S21 Maintain Party – Individual or S22 Maintain Party – Organization, dependent on the party type.

 

If an organization party appears for a user with security restriction to individual party type only, then there will be no hyperlink for that party.  This may occur through either a File or Party Number search.

 

Type

Display a single character to identify party type.  I = Individual; O = Organization.

 

Current Name

Displays the name of the individual or organization party.

 

Mailing Address

Displays complete mailing address, including address Line 1, 2, 3 and 4 if available, along with City/Town and province/state and postal code/zip code.

Displays the current address, regardless of the status.

 

MEP File

Display MEP File Number.   No MEP file number will show for Organization party type.

 

Multiple file icon will display instead of File number if party is related to more than one file.

 

This does not apply for Organization party type.

Status

Displays a single character to identify MEP file status.  A = Active, C = Closed, I = Incomplete.

Displays as empty for Individual party types with multiple or zero files.

Displays as empty for Organization party type.

 

Role

Displays the role that this party plays on the MEP File indicated.

Displays as empty for Individual party types with multiple or zero files.

Displays as empty for Organization party type.

 

P-File

Provisional File Number.  These are uniquely numbered files created to track and manage transmission of Provisional Orders, which are granted in one Jurisdiction that must be confirmed in another Jurisdiction.

Only displays if a single P-File exists for the party

Displays as empty for Organization party type.

 

P-File Status

Displays a single character to identify the P File Status.  A = Active, C = Closed, O = Obsolete, X = Archived.

Displays as empty for Individual party types with multiple or zero files.

Displays as empty for organization party type.

 

G

Displays a single character to identify the gender of the party.  F = Female, M = Male, U = Unknown.

Displays as empty for organization party type.

 

Birth Date

Displays the birth date using the following format '‘YYYY-MM-DD’, where Y = Year, M = Month and D = Day.

Displays as empty for organization party type.

 

Create New Party

 

 

Party Type

Displays blank.  Select from the drop down box.  Add Party – Individual or Add Party – Organization.

 

Click to create new party.  Takes user for screen S18 – Create Party – Individual or S19 – Create Party – Organization.
